| Waupaca Tournaments & Outings
The friendly atmosphere and beautifully maintained fairways and greens at Waupaca Country Club can provide the ideal setting for your next golf outing. Our PGA golf professional Fred Hancock and his staff are experienced in doing tournaments and outings for large and small groups. We welcome outings sponsored by members of the public.
"Corporations, family reunions, fund-raisers, charity groups are all welcome," says Fred!.
Tournaments at Waupaca Country Club are worry-free for the organizers because of all the help we can give you in arranging the details. "Generally, all you have to do is find your cart and go play golf. We do the rest of the work," says Hancock. The optimum maximum number for an outing is 72 players – 18 foursomes. But it is possible to go as high as 90 players for an outing on our course.
The club's staff can provide you with help in handicapping the players and in keeping score. "We can do contests and skill events," Hancock says. "And we provide the scoreboard." Golfers can compete in a stroke-play format or can try best ball or scramble for the form of play. "We’ve done every type of scoring," Hancock says. Outings can be held any day except Wednesdays and Thursdays. For an additional cost, we can help you arrange breakfast or lunch on the course for your players from Casey's. For $10 a player we can provide brats, hamburgers and chicken breasts, baked beans, potato salad, potato chips and a cookie for your event.
